Sheboygan Wedding Photographer: Anne and Tom: Married April 3, 2010

SHEBOYGAN, Wis: We’ve lived in Wisconsin for 4 years now, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that April is unpredictable. On any given day it can be cold and snowy, windy and rainy, or absolutely beautiful. And on some days…it’s all of the above! On the day of Anne and Tom’s wedding we saw just about everything.

But the great thing about Anne and Tom? They didn’t care! They had umbrellas for the rain, ignored the goosebumps from the cold and wind, and when the sun finally came out they changed up their schedule to spend some extra time outside taking pictures. We loved working with these guys! What a great way to kick off the 2010 wedding season!

Here are five of my favorite images from the day:

Neenah Baby Photographer: Studio Fun: Faux Hawk Fun!

Neenah, Wisconsin: Before our little dude entered the world last summer, I thought for sure that girl mamas had all the fun with those pretty dresses and the cute hair bows. Then, I discovered my love for the faux hawk. Now don’t misunderstand me. A.J. has never actually worn a faux hawk. He is, how can I say this politely, challenged in the hair department. But one of his little friends came by this weekend, sporting the cutest hair do and giving me hope that with a little product, perhaps some day A.J. can make my faux hawk dreams a reality.

In the meantime, here’s a look at this cute little dude!

Neenah Baby Photographer: Studio Fun: Cute Cousins

Neenah, Wisconsin: I’m not a statistician. In fact, before I became a photographer I was a journalist, which is pretty much the exact opposite of someone good at math. But, with that said, I would imagine  it’s a rare for twin sisters to have babies within just a few months of each other. But that’s just what happened in this family, and now the cousins are growing up like siblings. We had so much fun with these cuties, but let me tell you keeping two kids under the age of one in the same place is a bit of a challenge.

Neenah Family Photographer: Studio Fun: Silly Siblings

Neenah, Wisconsin: As a photographer, sometimes clients become friends. Other times, friends become clients. This family is definitely a case of the latter. In fact, these guys are more like family to us! So, it was no surprise that these three siblings were among the first to break in our new studio set up. As an added bonus, they were able to squeeze in some play time with our little dude in between pictures!

Neenah Family Photographer: Studio Fun: Sweet Sisters

Neenah, Wisconsin: It’s hard to believe that it has been a couple of YEARS since we photographed the B girls! Kids grow up so fast! When we last saw these girls, Little Sister had just turned one year old and had the biggest eyes Karl had ever seen, prompting the question on the drive home, “So do ALL babies have really big eyes?”  Now she’s a little lady with a beautiful ballerina for a big sister.

Neenah Family Photographer: Studio Session: Baby L

Neenah, Wisconsin: Baby L and her Mama were kind enough to help us launch a new feature for Homburg Photography: Studio Sessions! Wait. Homburg Photography is doing STUDIO sessions?? Sort of. These are definitely not your typical studio portraits for a few reasons. First of all, our “studio” is portable! That’s right. We can now bring the set up to you. If you want a studio look, you no longer have to load up the car, pack up the diaper bag, and pray your little one doesn’t get dirty before it’s picture time! This also means you won’t have to sit around waiting if the photographer is running behind and your child is free to be his or herself in your home environment.

You’ll be surprised how little space we need to set up, but if you are concerned about making room for us, you are welcome to come on over and hang out at our house! We always have coffee on hand, and plenty of time to chat while we take some pictures.

Green Bay Family Photographer: Watch Him Grow: Baby D is 9 Months!

Green Bay, Wisconsin: One of my favorite aspects of my job as a photographer is watching our little friends grow up! I am especially aware of how fast they grow now that we have a baby of our own at home. In the case of Baby D, I am lucky to be one of a few people who can say I’ve been watching him grown since he was less than 48 hours old.

Now, at 9 months old, D is smiling and standing and keeping his parents very busy. Earlier this month, I was able to spend a little time hanging out with this family of three in their element enjoying an afternoon together. These lifestyle sessions are really laid back and a great way to capture the little details of your life right now.  Here are a few of my favorite images from our session.

Come See Us! {Green Bay Wedding Photographer}

We are so excited to be taking part in the Every Wedding Expo on Saturday, January 23rd at The Grand in De Pere. If you are planning a wedding in 2010 or 2011 it will definitely be worth your time to stop by and meet all of the vendors you will need for your big day all in one place. We have two new albums and two awesome fine art pieces to show off at the expo, as well as a slideshow featuring some of our very favorite images from the past couple of wedding seasons.

As an added incentive for those  still looking for a 2010 wedding photographer, we will be offering a free 16×20 float wrap (a $160 value!) to couples who visit us at the bridal show and sign a contract with us by February 1st.  The float wrap comes ready to hang on your wall with no frame needed. Michelle and Ryan: Married July 18th, 2009! {Green Bay Wedding Photography}

GREEN BAY, Wis: It’s kind of surreal to me that Michelle and Ryan are married. It feels like just yesterday that we were shooting their engagement session. In reality, it’s been many months since that chilly October day we met up in Green Bay. Just a couple of days after that shoot, Karl and I learned we were going to have a baby. It’s amazing how much things can change in just a few months.

Speaking of changes, we changed second shooters for this wedding. Karl has been working with Heidi all summer, but for this particular wedding she was out of town (taking a much deserved vacation) so we called on another great photographer friend, Amy Clark. Thanks for helping out Amy!

Here are a few fun shots Amy and Karl captured for Michelle and Ryan:

Nothing like burning off a little nervous energy before the ceremony!

Karl told me this wedding party was really fun, and I definitely got that vibe while editing.

Definitely the most unique cake we’ve seen so far.

We’ve seen lots of photo mats for signing at receptions but I thought this one was especially cool.

Speaking of cool, check out this little guy. Apparently he was giving quite the performance during the special dances.

Heidi and Steve: Married July 4th, 2009! {Green Bay Wedding Photographer}

GREEN BAY, Wis.: Okay, so we all know that I’m a tad sappy when it comes to weddings. I’ve been known to shed a tear (or ten) at just about every wedding we’ve ever shot. But this was a first for me. I actually cried WHILE EDITING Heidi and Steve’s wedding photos. Karl and I decided it was probably a good thing I was on maternity leave on their wedding day. I would have been way too emotional for my own good.

Here are just a handful of the emotional moments Karl and Heidi captured:

I love the anticipation in this shot as Heidi and her sister waited for their walk down the aisle.

This one might be my favorite walk down the aisle shot EVER! It doesn’t get more beautiful than the cathedral!

Do you think they’re excited to be getting married? I just LOVE people in love.

Heidi and Steve, I know how much work went into your wedding day.  From what I saw while editing, it looks like the day was perfect. Now please kindly have lots of babies so we can take lots of pictures of what might be the most beautiful children in the world. No pressure or anything! :)
