Welcome to the Homburg Photography Blog!

We are Karl and Stephanie Homburg, a husband and wife team of portrait and wedding photographers working throughout Northeast Wisconsin.

We love people in love, squishy newborns, energetic toddlers, grown ups who can laugh at themselves, and clients who forget we are taking their picture. We pride ourselves in capturing the moments and details you don't want to forget.

We invite you to take a peek at our most recent sessions, and then contact us to schedule a session of your own!

Lindsay and Clance: Married September 27th, 2008! {Appleton Wedding Photographer}

SHERWOOD, Wis: It feels like Karl and I were waiting forever for Lindsay and Clance’s wedding, since we shot their engagement session down at Holy Hill this time last year. Well I can tell you this wedding was definitely worth the wait. The day was full of so many special, personalized moments.

Tell me she’s not the cutest? While kids in a wedding party are often unpredictable, they certainly up the adorable factor!

Lindsay’s dress was stunning and absolutely perfect for her day.

Lindsay struggled to hold back the tears as her uncle, who performed the ceremony, led the bridal party in prayer before their walk down the aisle. Confession: I was struggling to hold it together too!

Look at all those guys checking out the beautiful bride as she made her way down the aisle with Clance waiting at the altar for her.

There’s that just married excitement that I love to see!

We took just a few quick formals in the church before heading to Clance’s family home for more photos. I wanted to share this picture for a couple of reasons. First, brown bridesmaids dresses rock, and I’m so glad it’s a popular color now. When we planned our wedding four years ago, I got more than a few funny looks from those who didn’t understand why I wanted my bridesmaids to wear brown! Second, four attendants on each side may just be my favorite number. This was a close knit group of friends that made our job really easy. Thanks guys!

The Catlin family home is right on the water and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking! We arrived after the ceremony to find a fog had rolled in over the water which made it seem like we were walking towards the end of the earth. So cool!

I would kill to have this weeping willow in my backyard! It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into maintaining such a beautiful yard. We were so lucky to be there!

We also snuck over to the neighbors yard (where Clance played football growing up) to take a few shots with this cool fence!

On to the reception, Lindsay’s sister shared a toast that had everyone laughing.

And then the happy couple wowed us with their first dance. These two took dancing lessons in preparation for their big day. No swaying in place for them.

I loved this capture from the grand march. Lindsay looks a little scared of what the bridal party has in store for them.

Lindsay and Clance, thanks so much for including us in your special day. We had a blast!
