SHAWANO, Wis: First of all can I just say, October brides ROCK??? I may be partial (Karl and I will celebrate 4 years of marriage on 10/30) but I really do think fall is the most amazing time for a wedding. The weather is cooler and the leaves are changing. It certainly makes for amazing pictures.
Karl and I met Loni and Jesse less than 24 hours before their wedding. Isn’t email amazing? Even though we hadn’t spent any time together, we became quick friends via email and were really excited about their wedding.
Um, brown tuxes? Definitely one of my favorite fall wedding finds. If only they had them a few years ago when I was wedding planning!
The girls were working the brown themselves! Love those dresses!
The flowers are always my favorite detail in fall weddings! How cool that Loni had pinecones worked into her bouquet!
It’s hard for me to convert images to black and white during the fall, because the color is always so cool! But in this case, I thought the black and white really showed how elegant and calm Loni was before the ceremony.
I don’t know if Jesse was calm before the ceremony (I never get to see the guys!) but I can tell you he was definitely happy to see Loni coming down the aisle!
Nothing says, “We’re married!” like that first kiss!
After the ceremony we took a couple of formals inside the church and then headed over to the Ovans residence for an open house prior to the reception. Loni’s parents were awesome hosts and their yard was the perfect spot for pictures!
While Karl was taking this cute shot under the archway….
I was behind him being sneaky! I know it’s not your traditional shot, but sometimes it’s fun to try different angles.
For the record, there were no fish in this pond, and no bridesmaids went swimming.
This one involved laying in the ground, but the light was just perfect on the bouquet!
At our bar stop before the reception, Karl and I decided to get a little creative. Unfortunately for us, the pool table was missing a the 4 ball! We improvised
On to the reception, where personalized water bottles were waiting for the guests. Such a cool idea, and perfect for those enjoying themselves on the dance floor!
Jesse and Loni enjoyed their first dance surrounded by their wedding party.
And how could I not share a father daughter dance moment. These two are very close, but somehow managed to hold it together during their dance. Me…not so much.
Hey look! It’s my New Year’s Eve date!! Lacey and her fiancee Ben will tie the knot on December 31st and Karl and I can’t wait to be there to capture it all!
Loni and Jesse, Karl and I are so happy for you two! And if that awesome trip you’re headed off on *does* result in a honeymoon baby, we’ll have to meet up next year for newborn pictures

Enjoy married life!
